Stop guessing. Your data speaks.
Most restaurant owners make decisions based on intuition. Which dish sells best? When is the kitchen busiest? How many first-time customers come back for a second order? Without data, these questions get answered by gut feeling — and gut feeling is wrong more often than you think. Ordresto's analytics dashboard gives you real-time KPIs so every operational decision is backed by actual numbers.
Revenue and order trends at a glance
The dashboard home screen shows your total revenue, order count and average basket value for any date range you choose — today, this week, this month or a custom period. Trend arrows tell you instantly whether you are up or down compared to the previous period. A daily revenue chart reveals patterns that are invisible in raw transaction lists: maybe your Wednesday dinner service is consistently weak, or your Sunday brunch has been growing 12% month over month.
Revenue is broken down by order type (delivery, pickup, dine-in) and by payment method (card online, card present, cash). This granularity matters because the operational cost profile of a delivery order is fundamentally different from a pickup order. Understanding which revenue streams are growing helps you allocate resources — more drivers or more counter staff — with confidence.
Rush hour heatmap — staff when it matters
One of the most actionable metrics in the dashboard is the hourly order heatmap. It shows you exactly which hours of each day of the week generate the most orders. If you see that Tuesday 12:00–13:00 consistently generates 35 orders but you only have two kitchen staff scheduled, you know there is a bottleneck. Conversely, if Saturday 15:00–17:00 is empty, you might reduce staff or run a promotion to fill the gap.
This data replaces guesswork with evidence. Scheduling decisions that used to be based on a manager's memory of 'last Tuesday' are now based on four weeks of aggregated, visualised order data. The result is fewer rush-hour delays and less payroll spent on quiet shifts.
Customer retention and lifetime value
Acquiring a new customer costs five to seven times more than retaining an existing one. The Ordresto dashboard tracks how many of your customers are first-time versus returning, their average order frequency and their lifetime value. If you notice that only 18% of first-time customers place a second order, that is a clear signal to invest in post-first-order engagement — a discount code, a thank-you message or a loyalty programme.
The customer metrics panel also shows your top customers by order count and total spend. These are the people who keep your business alive. Knowing who they are allows you to reward them, invite them to special events or simply ensure their orders are always prioritised.
Delivery performance — speed is reputation
For delivery-focused restaurants, speed of delivery is the single most important driver of customer satisfaction and repeat orders. The dashboard tracks average delivery time from order creation to delivered status, broken down by driver, by zone and by time of day. If one driver consistently takes 15 minutes longer than the team average, you can address it. If deliveries to a specific zone are always slow, you might reconsider the zone boundary or adjust the delivery fee.
Failed and cancelled orders are also tracked with reasons. A spike in cancellations at a specific time often points to a kitchen capacity issue rather than a demand issue. The data tells you the difference.
